Will I Fail A Drug Test Using CBD Oil?

Will I Fail A Drug Test Using CBD Oil?

One of the most common questions we get on the daily is "I have a drug test coming up, will using GoGreen Hemp CBD products cause me to fail the test?" The short answer is "NO you will not fail a drug test using our products", however we urge you to read why not and things to avoid when choosing which CBD brand to go with. We understand your concern and hope this article helps clear up some facts and myths.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-intoxicating compound which is found in both marijuana and hemp plants. It is one of the most prominent cannabinoids found in the natural plant, and is sister to its infamous psychoactive counterpart tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Testing for illicit drug use is a controversial topic for people of all ages in numerous industries, varying from athletics to the federal sector. Drug testing is mandatory for any federal job, but even in the private sector drug testing is becoming the norm. The reality is, whether you believe in drug testing or not it will most likely be a part of our lives.

Difference Between THC and CBD GoGreenHemp

Like THC, CBD offers a wide range of relieving benefits. Unlike its counterpart THC, CBD has no psychoactive effects. For people who are looking to take advantage of the medicinal benefits of the cannabis plant without the "high", CBD is the way to go. But being that both are so closely related and that CBD comes from both marijuana and hemp, people are often concerned that they may potentially fail a drug test.

The bottom line is CBD is not created equally. There are companies who have completely THC-Free products, while others formulate products that may contain slight traces of THC so that the compounds in cannabis can work more effectively together. But often, these products only carry roughly 0.5% THC or less. Drug tests are ultimately looking for traces of THC, not CBD. However this does not put you completely in the clear. Some companies do have traces amount of THC in their products, although under the legal limit of .3% these products do have the potential to show up on drug tests. However for products with very low traces you would have to take a substantial amount of CBD oil for this to occur.

Quality Over Everything

As the CBD market continues to expand we urge consumers to do more research on the products they are currently and plan on using. We HIGHLY encourage customers to not use any products that isn't third party laboratory tested. For those interested in our GoGreen Hemp products, feel free to view our publicly posted third party test results by clicking here. Not all CBD products are the same so precautions should be taken when choosing a reputable supplier.
