Updated: May 25, 2023

As the popularity of CBD and new CBD products increases, CBD infused meals have become a mainstay of today's health and wellness culture. The skyrocketing demand for CBD has inspired many chefs to get creative in adapting it to their menus.

CBD is popping up everywhere in everything from cocktails to cookies. People are using this holistic ingredient for just about everything. With that being said, let's take CBD into the kitchen. Incorporating CBD in foods and drinks is easier than you think. Its absorption rate rises when you consume it with food or drinks, and adding it helps you get your daily dose of CBD along with a host of other benefits.

We live in an era of social media and influencers, and it is no secret food trends are huge. Some trends are because they are pretty, some because they are inexplicable. CBD, on the other hand, is because of its health benefits reputation. Thanks to the growing popularity of CBD as a food additive, you can now experience it in food and drinks at many restaurants and gourmet shops. If you can't find an establishment to enjoy an infused CBD meal or food item, no worries because you can try your hands in some easy to make CBD infused foods and drinks that you can make in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Whenever you are getting sick, people offer you soups bone broth or hot tea. For some odd reason, the feeling is usually for something cold-related. When that happens, this CBD infused immune-boosting elderberry shrub could become your new favorite.

Immune-Boosting Elderberry Shrub

5 tbs apple cider vinegar (The Mother)

4 tbs Filtered Water

4 rsp Elderberry Syrup

3 tsp grated lemon zest

3 tbs honey

60mg CBD (unflavored nano tincture preferably)

1 ml echinacea herbal extract

Shrub Ingredients

48oz Sparkling Water (16 oz per serving) (3 Servings)

Instructions:

1) Put the water and vinegar in a small pan, and heat to simmering.

2) Add elderberry syrup and lemon zest, stirring until totally combined.

3) Add CBD and honey and stir. This makes enough syrup for three shrubs. Either use immediately or store in the fridge.

To finish the shrub, pour 6oz of sparkling water into a glass with ice, and add one-third of the elderberry mixture and echinacea. Stir completely until it is slightly foamy at the top and enjoy!

Vinegar, especially apple cider vinegar is thought to boost the immune system. Honey is great for soothing the throat and elderberry is a celebrity when it comes to immune-boosting herbs. Adding CBD to these shrubs provides more immune-supporting plant power and therefore makes this the perfect drink to turn to when you feel that first scratch in your throat.

CBD is useful for soothing everything from aches and pains to skin irritations. CBD infused food and drinks are a new trend of emerging healthy foods, making waves in the food and healthcare industry. If you decide that you are up for trying to create your own CBD infused recipe, be sure to use a superior CBD oil base, from a reputable CBD company. Other than making immune-boosting drinks, try something different by adding oil to some savory recipes or as butter to use on your toast, or in cooking. The combinations are endless, so go out there and give it a try!
