QR-code lab reports. Every label must have a QR code linking to the batch's certificate of analysis, plus the batch number and expiration date.

Permitted manufacturers. Hemp extract must be made in a facility with a valid food-safety permit.

Kid-safe packaging. Packaging can't be attractive to children and must be child-resistant.
What Changed: Florida's Hemp Law Timeline
June 2019: Florida creates its hemp program. Governor Ron DeSantis signed SB 1020, which created Florida's state hemp program and set rules for hemp extract.
2023: SB 1676. Florida set a 21+ age limit for hemp extract products you swallow or inhale, and banned packaging designed to appeal to children.
2025: FDACS rule updates. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services updated its hemp rules, requiring QR-code lab reports, child-resistant packaging and a Hemp Food Establishment permit for businesses that make or sell hemp extract.
December 11, 2026: Federal changes are coming. Congress has passed a new federal definition of hemp that limits finished products to 0.4 mg of total THC per container. It was set to take effect on November 12, 2026, and has since been pushed back to December 11, 2026. GoGreen Hemp's broad-spectrum products are made to contain 0.0% THC.
