What Changed: Wyoming's Hemp Law Timeline
March 6, 2019: Wyoming legalizes hemp. Governor Mark Gordon signed HB 171, which legalized hemp and hemp-derived products, including CBD, with a 0.3% THC limit.
July 1, 2024: SF 32 takes effect. Governor Gordon signed SF 32 on March 7, 2024, tightening the rules for hemp products:

Delta-8 banned. Delta-8 THC was added to Wyoming's list of controlled substances.

No synthetic cannabinoids. Hemp products can't contain synthetic or chemically converted cannabinoids, such as delta-10, HHC or THC-O.

0.3% THC limit. Hemp products over 0.3% THC are illegal to make, possess or sell.

CBD stays legal. Non-intoxicating CBD products that meet these rules are still allowed.
October 2025: The court upholds SF 32. Hemp businesses challenged the law in federal court. The district court dismissed the case, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the law in October 2025.
2026 and beyond: Federal changes are coming. Congress has also passed a new federal definition of hemp that counts total THC and limits finished products to 0.4 mg of total THC per container. It was set to take effect on November 12, 2026, and has since been pushed back to December 11, 2026. GoGreen Hemp's broad-spectrum products are made to contain 0.0% THC.
